Norman WingroveNorman Wingrove

Norman, together with John Ure and Ian Johnston, is a founding associate of TRPC. He graduated from the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in the 1950s as an actor, director and lighting designer. He worked extensively in all three capacities in the theatre, radio, and television in the United Kingdom before joining Radio Hong Kong (now RTHK) in 1967.

From the 1970s he wrote extensively for the technology press. From 1987 until 1992 he was Asia-Pacific Bureau Chief for Newsbytes News Network and for three years from 1987 presented and produced The Electric Office, a nightly radio programme on Information Technology. From 1978 until 1990 he was the Hong Kong correspondent for London Broadcasting Company (LBC) and its subsidiary, the radio news agency IRN, covering the East Asia region. In 1989 and again in 1990 he won gold medals at the New York International Radio Festival for his nightly commentary Viewpoint on Hong Kong Commercial Radio.

After retiring from broadcasting in 1990 Norman set up his own company, Kintak Enterprises Ltd., to provide writing and editorial services and started developing websites in 1994. His past and present Web clients, large and small, include Hong Kong Aviation Group, PR Partnership, Telecom Italia Telemedia, Modern Terminals Ltd, Hong Kong Telecommunications Users Group, The Smile Spa, Silicon International Ltd, TRP, TIF and TRPC, and many others.
